Ticket Information and Entry Procedures – 4 Important Points

  1.     Please print your ticket purchase confirmation and present it at the gate when you arrive. You will be given your Program Booklet, entry armbands and directed where to go.Please put your armbands on immediately and follow all instructions provided by the crew on arrival.
  2.      If you have purchased camping tickets, please also present these at the gate. You will be directed where to park.
  3.      If you have purchased raffle tickets, these will already be included in the raffle – there is no need to collect the stubs as we will have all your details.  The raffle will be drawn at 1pm on Sunday.  If winners are not present at the draw we will contact them the following day.  Winners will also be published in the West Australian newspaper on the Wednesday following the event.  Raffle tickets will also be available for sale at the venue.
  4. If you know of friends or family who wish to attend, please ask them to purchase tickets online prior to the event.  There are no camping spaces left, but plenty of event tickets. And, remember, children under 12 are free!

Due to bigger than expected numbers, gates will now open at 9am on Saturday so come early to secure a fabulous spot and enjoy the atmosphere!  First performance begins at 11.30am.

Food and Merchandise

A variety of coffee and food stalls will be available over the weekend, or you may wish to bring your own food (no bbq’s).  You may also BYO alcohol – please note that there is no alcohol for sale at the venue.

There will also be stalls selling a lovely range of items, including a Gidgestore with event merchandise and a pre-loved clothing, shoes and jewellery stall where you can find some amazing bargains.

Please bring cash for food and merchandise as vendors may not be able to accept credit card payments.

Breakfast on Sunday morning

For those who have purchased tickets for camping, this includes a cooked breakfast which will be served between 7.30am and 9.30am on Sunday morning.  If you have booked tickets and have any special dietary requirements, such as vegetarian, vegan or gluten free, please let us know in advance by emailing [email protected].

For your fantastic, rustic, unpowered camping experience, please bring your own tent (or campervan, caravan* etc), sleeping bags etc. There are hired toilets at the venue, but no shower facilities, although water will be available for washing (not heated).

*  Please note a 4WD is needed if bringing a caravan due to the uneven surface and the slope of the venue.  All caravans / campervans etc need to be pre-approved, so if you have not yet advised us of your vehicle, please let us know prior to arriving by emailing us on [email protected].

Family Event

The Gidgestock Music Festival is a family event and we will have several activities for children.  Check your program booklet when you arrive to see what is on offer.

What to Bring to Gidgestock

*        Bring your pre-purchased tickets!

*        BYO drinks, chairs and picnic rugs

*        BYO food if you wish or purchase on-site.

*        Bring your sunscreen, sunglasses, shade umbrella and hat for daytime.

*        Warm clothes for the cool evening.

*        Rain jacket & umbrella in case of showers.

*        Insect repellent – it is tick season in the hills!  All areas have been treated to minimise ticks, but it is essential that you spray  yourself.  There will be repellents available at the event, as it’s best to take precautions.

You may take photographs at the festival and feel free to share the experience with your friends.  Please note however that drones are not permitted at the festival.

Rubbish Removal

We love to enjoy and cherish nature and are delighted to be able to host Gidgestock 2018 at the beautiful Lightning Amphitheatre in the hills.  So, please leave the site the way you find it, by using the bins provided for your rubbish, or bring your own bags to collect and bring home your rubbish.

Campfires are set up at various spots at the venue for your enjoyment in the evening.  These are managed by event staff and no other fires of any sort are permitted at the venue – including for personal bbqs.

Smoking is permitted at the festival, but please dispose of butts responsibly and do not leave them lying on the ground.

Profits from this event will go to the Leukaemia Foundation and to the West Gidgegannup Volunteer Fire Brigade.

Getting There

The festival is most easily accessed by car.  Coming from Perth, on the Toodyay Road, you take a left turn onto Reen Road.  Continue for approx. 8km then turn left unto Treechange Rise.  Number 64 is on the right at the end of the road.  You will be greeted at the gate, tickets checked and given directions for parking. Here is a map of the area:

A survey form will be provided with your program booklet.  We are committed to improving the event each year and your feedback is invaluable.  We kindly ask that you complete the survey and hand it to event staff before you leave the venue.  Everyone who completes a survey will go into a draw to win one of two $100 fruit and vegetable vouchers generously donated by Countrypak.

We are very excited to welcome you to this year’s festival and hope you enjoy the unique Gidgestock experience!
